How do I remove my gas furnace from its closet?
I have a 1973 Delmar. When I bought it, the central heat furnace had already been red tagged. The previous owner had installed heat/air combo window units so he would not have to repair the expensive old furnace. I live in Florida and that big of a furnace is not really needed. My question is basic; how do I remove the old furnace safely, and what do I do with it afterwards? Please bear in mind that I am disabled and will have to hire someone to do most of the work. So,who do I hire? Thanks for your help.

Under your circumstances I would get a local HVAC professional to solve your problems since a unqualified person may cause more trouble and cost more money in the long run.

The furnace is approximately 20 years old and is a Model Ultra 97. I can not locate what is holding the blower and motor assembly in place. It looks like the assembly should simply slid out from the side, on two tracks. It won't budge, but I see nothing that seems to be holing it in place?

I am new here. I have a broken closet flange that is not screwed to the floor, but leaded to the soil pipe. Home built in late 20's. Is there a safe way to remove and replace it. Flange looks to be of cast iron like the soil pipe?
