My brother and his wife live in Texas he works out of town he's home maybe 2 weekends a month she gets his check! She has filed for divorce 5 times during their 20yr marriage and filed restraining orders without telling him! She has been collecting food stamps medicade and at times even filed for his unemployement and received the checks herself! She told him last year she wanted to separate he needed to leave so he went and stayed the night with my parents the next day when he went to talk to her she had a uhual loaded with her things and the sheriff had locked them out, the house had been forclosed. She files exempt on his (their) taxes and has for 5 years. She has written thousands in hot checks. All the while she has had power of attorney with no limitations and signed his name to most of this crap is he liable? Can he be charged in these things with her signing his name? Can he file charges on her? They are still married, she still gets his check, food stamps, etc. The power of attorney has been revocked! He has no idea what has transpired. She was on probation for 18months for hot checks and he didn't know. My brother is ignorant! How can I help him?

Since he is obvioiusly aware of thing things going on ( since you are too) yes he is considered part of it. He obviously enjoys the benefits of it also. In fact if you are aware of it, and have not reported it, you could be considered part of it also, or guilty of conspiring with them.

I'd like to say he doesn't know about some of it. I can say he doesn't about the food-stamps, unemployment, things of that nature. I will also say with certainty he does not and has not benefited in any way from any of her shenanigans. She is a con, a lier, and a thief. He brings home about K yearly that all goes to her he lives off his non taxable per diem of $600 a week. I have reported her several times and continue to every time I find proof of any of her wrong doings. I assure you I don't conspire with the ghastly woman, I haven't spoken with her in years. Most of what she does is a matter of public record and in surrounding states she has several aliases and often uses my family's names. She has gone so far as to get a home loan in my name. I filed charges on her. One time I came home and she had completely cleaned out my entire house down to the toilet paper "by accident" the movers went to the wrong house? I filed charges on her. She returned half of my belongings as far as the court was concerned that was a show of good faith. She is DRIVING me CRAZY. I can't ever seem to win.
