    I like a girl a lot but I don't know if she likes me back
    The problem is that she's my lab partner and I don't want to make things awkward. She is also a little more popular than me.

    I would either ask her. Does she stare at you smile a lot tease you a little bit. She may even try to get closer to you than normal girls

    The only way to find out bud, is to ask her. Try taking her to a movie, work up the courage to ask. All she can say is no, and if she's anything like most girls, she'll say no nicely so nothing to be worried about. That's life man.
