I'm not sure how your pill works, are the white pills like placibo pills, they don't actually do anything, its just to keep you in the rhythm of taking them?
With my pill I only take them for 21 days then a 7 day break.
Anyway, if its what I think, then the bleeding isn't actually a period, its your bodies reaction to withdrawl of the hormones in your blue pills, a fake period I guess. I read up about this. You can take the pill constantly and it would work just fine, but they do a free week so you get a period, as it is seen as more natural, and they didn't want to freak women when it first came out. Enough of the history lesson!

This can happen for the first 3 months, its your body getting used to the hormones, kind of messes it up a bit. Did you start taking it on the first day of your period (this was recommended to me for full protection from the start)? I actually bled for the first month of being on it, after my period it was very light but still always there, then it went away after my second period on it. So I'm thinking you didn't start on your period and this could be what happened to me except on your second pack? If not, its still normal on the second month. Its called breakthrough bleed.

Need any help, just ask. I researched all this like crazy when it first happened.

My doctor told me that the white pills were just sugar pill that it would help with my period that when I start the blue pills again that my period would stop. And it hasent.

When I started the first pack of birth control I started right after I got of my period. So basically I'm still on my period from me finishing the first package.. I have been taking the pills ths same time everyday and I'm on week three of me having my period, its has not light up. Its has been so heavy that I go through twoo boxes of tampox in one week, what makes it worst is that there are clots and everyone keeps telling me that as lonf it not as big as my hand I'm okay... I feel like I lost so much blood in the last three weeks that my doctors can't tell me why.. my gyn doctor told me she can't give me a pep smear because I'm still bleeding... by now I have no clue to what to do.

Yes, see I was told to start on the first day of my period, and I had this bleeding until the end of the second period, so like a whole month. Although, mine was mostly pretty light, but it did get heavier sometimes.

I don't think your sugar pills have anyhting in them that you need to take, I think its just to keep you in a good rhythm. The blue pills won't stop your period straight away, they put the hormone back into your body which stop it in a day or two,

Wait until after your next period like I did, and see if it stops, but though its still worrying that its so heavy. But wait anyway, and make sure you eat well to keep your energy up. If it continues then consider going off the pill, but most people have said to wait out the first 3 months regardless.
