    Can a employer with hold my check because I
    I was wanting to know if my employer can withhold my check while I;m under a doctor's care?

    I don't know what to say or tell him about the situation.

    If he lays me off can I sue him?

    Hello r:

    The circumstances matter, however in the ordinary course of events, you should have been paid on your regular payday..

    If you're laid off, and he owes you money, certainly you can sue for what he owes you.
