    Licensed and bonded
    If am only cleaning about eight houses in the state of Alabama do I have to licensed and bonded?

    The only reason you ever have to be "bonded" is if one of the clients require it. And normally it deals more with handing the funds or property of others.

    A license has to do with your local government, in most cases you will unless you happen to live outside a city limits and your county has no laws requiring it. But you talk to your local business license department. But normally yes you will.

    You need to also consider liability insurance, if you damage something, or lets say accidentally set their house on fire, or get used for something you do.

    You may also want to talk to your car insurance company, since if you are using it to travel to your business locations.
