Do grandparents have visitation rights after a child is adopted in an "open" adoption
My daughter gave up her kids and they were adopted and the girls know and love us and ask to see us and at first the adopyive family was friendly... to get what they want I know now. Now using every tiny excuse for us not to see them. Do we have any rights to see the girls?

    Probably not.

What did the adoption decree provide so as to make it "open"? I'm guessing that you weren't mentioned.

Grandparent rights only go so far. And they seldom provide any rights to grandparents in the event of adoption.

Unless it is stated otherwise then no grandparents don't have rights to visit adopted children. There is a legal severance. In "open" adoptions that is normally reserved for the parent(s) of the child. Not for any form of extended family.
