How can I obtain legal representation?
I have an upcoming DUI trial and have no resources what so ever in order to retain counsel. What are my options if any? Legal aid is only available if jail time is considered

Is this a first offense, or more, since on a 2nd or third often jail time is required.

But on a DUI, is not jail time a option, they may not often give it, but is it not possible ?

But if you can not get a public defender because of their rules, you still ask for one in court and make the court say in its record that they will not give you one.

But you try and find one that will do on payments or try and borrow the money.
