How to restore a antique sewing machine head
I am interested in cleaning and restoring an 1920 antique sewing machine head. I have read several tips on this and find there are varied opinions on the subject. Some use soap and water. Some use oil. Some use kerosene. Help where do I start and with what?

I just bought a White Rotary sewing machine from and antique ware house for $10. I can tell it is missing a lot of parts. It did not come with a desk, Its missing a motor and a belt, there is no bottom to it. I'm not sure if that's because it was a desk model or if its just missing the bottom case....
