Am a female by the way. My mum lives and works in nigeria and I grew up with her until this moment.
I wasn't sure if I was until when my cousin was born and my mum and my aunt were with the baby changing her diaper or something and my mum ask my aunt if she wasn't going to cut it before she starts sleeping around at age 13 while touching the baby's vulva and mentioned something about doing own girls soon after they were born that is I and my sisters, am 18 now and that happened when I was 14 and another thing I noticed is that my sisters since we lived together had little or no interest in guys at 16 or those age where you start being curious, I seemed to be the most curious and when I talk about it they look at me in awe like I can't believe what she saying or something and up till this moment where my older sister is 22 she still has no interest in sex or what so ever, I don't really talk to her about it but once I did and told her my mum had advices my aunt to circumcise her child to reduce sex drive and asked her if she thought it was done to us, she said she didn't know or cared and if she did, she's happy because she always wondered why she wasn't like other girls who were so into guys or getting so excited easily when they see a Guy without a shirt on or something and that she has no interest in that, since that day at 14 I've been self conscious, I want to know what's different in me down there, my labia minora is small and I did here a Guy say girls with larger minoras are more sensitive and easily exicted... I do have a ciltoris of an OK size but I want to be sure if my mum did do something what did she cut, how can I tell at 18 what's not its normal down there? Please help, I really want to know..

It doesn't sound to me like there is anything wrong.. but I also have never heard of this being done to girls. Are u still a virgin? You should go to a doctor they wll be able to tell you if anything has been done to you down there. And you can ask them all these questions they are the best people to ask. Since we can't really know

If you were in england, you would go to your GP and they would be able to tell you.
Try and see it in the mirror or ask your mum if it won't come out as rude. The thing you don't want to do is get in trouble with your parents.

I would advise any young person who lives in the UK that its is against the law to circumcised women. The government is having a crack down on this.
I don't know if the have the help line for those who need it.
I used to know someone whose job was to educate women on the benefits of not circumcising their young girls and women.
For girls is considered something that goes against human rights.

In the UK for anyone who knows a practitioner who carries this out they are encouraged to report it to the police.

I don't read anywhere they it lowers any sexual desire, it may cause pain or other problems when you have sex, You can have a medical exam by your doctor to know if you did, and if you did, which of the various types where done.
