I bet security camera footage shows otherwise. And if it even remotely looks like you jumping into a confrontation... you might find yourself being charged. They will likely have security cam footage if its like many clubs. Also.. the girl you grabbed and unlawfully detained could press charges against you. Yes that's what you did.

Smart thing would have been avoideding the scene and not jumped in the middle of it, and let them deal with it.

You could try... you could spend a lot of money.. and end up worse off than you are now without any guarantee of winning.

Ok thanks I had to grab her as she would have carried on and kept bottling my friend I simply did a citizen arrest I shall see the footage as my friend is suing the girl tor GBH but he didn't have a reason to use such heavy force also I am a young girl and he was a big bouncer that left me with 3 fractures on my arm I didn't move or pull away but he kept pulling my arm there are witnesses he should be stopped before someone gets more damage but I understand what you mean and the girl can't say much as she bottled my friend I simply just tried to stop her I didn't assault her as I am studying health and social it would rewen my career x

    Hello g:

You sure might. Go see a personal injury lawyer. He won't charge for an initial consultation.

You can get a Lawyer and try... your chances of winning the case you never pursue is always zero. And a good personal Injury Lawyer that works on contingency will never take a case they don't think they can win. (they only get paid when they win).

If the bouncer was acting according to his job, then its unlikely you can win. The facts are that an altercation was ensuing, you got involved in that altercation by grabbing the girl and the bouncer was trying to get things calmed down. On the other hand, the club will probably settle by paying your medical bills. But if you try for punitive damages they may fight it.

Did you report this to your health care carrier? They may help with a suit to recover what they paid for your medical care.

By the way what is "being bottled"?

I am assuming she knocked said friend upside his head with a beer bottle.

That was my guess, but I figured I'd ask.

The citizen arrest idea is very limited and the person doing the "arrest" can easily be sued, first for assault and second often for "kidnapping" since they would not allow a person their freedom. If the girl was not arrested by the police and charged, you could face law suit from her for her injury and stress, plus criminal charges from grabbing her.

If all the bouncer saw was you grabbing her, not her hitting the other person, he was doing his job.

Also in your one paragraph your story changed, which would hurt you in court,
    1. first you grabbed her from stopping her from running away
    2. next you grabbed her to stop her from hitting him again

So which is it, to stop her from running away, you can not use force, and you are in the wrong.

If to protect your friend, then maybe you were justified, a jury normally decides it, and will want to know why your friend could not defend his self,

Also a bouncer makes about 10 to 15 bucks a hour, so you sue him, you don't get anything.
