Honeywell Chromotherm III indicates temperature 2 -6 degrees too high.
Thermostat readout only varies between 77-81 degrees during 24 hour period while a highly accurate digital device within inches of it records between 72.8 and 77.1 during the same period. I have a digital temp readout in an adjacent room and it tracks the other digital within 0.7 degrees. I know that the Chromotherm takes wall temp into account but outdoor temp has bee below 71 degrees for the past two days. The thermostat has been in the off mode for two days. If I turn it to the cool mode the AC turns on and reduces the temp to an uncomfortable level and I have to manually turn it off.
