Nothing, you just end up having something completely different like, potatoes or corn. What in the world is wrong with beans anyway?

I have to say the poster of the question could also mean this to be the type of things you use to put in a pastry case while it cooks its not very clear.
If it is then just use any old dried lental or bean it doesn't really matter.

Oh, like beans on toast. Americans have a hard time with beans on toast. They keep rolling off and we're all in a really big hurry. Now you want to put them in a pastry case. We can send you some more Hormel Spam if you like!

Like pie weights? Beans, rice, even rock salt works if you do not have a ceramic or metal pie weight. Lentils work great too.
