    That is awefully vague. Is there nothing there at all right now? "within the drywall " can't picture what you mean.

    You start by figuring out what type of shower you want, Custom tile or plastic base and enclosure. If you have the tools and necessary skills you rough in the plumbing first. If you're concerned about doing the job get three estimates and pick the one you're most comfortable with. Good luck, Tom

My shower drain rough in is 1-2 inches from the rough wall in the basement floor It is a 2 in pipe with trap built in . Do I need to raise the shower or tub floor to connect drain to this hole any diagrams would be greatly helpful.
