How can you tell which way does the basement drain pipe flow?
I am going to be adding a toilet in my basement and need to know how to tell which way the pipe under the floor flows. Does it run out to the street drains? Or is it a separate system?

    Thanks John

If you're on city sewer then it runs towards the street, If you have a cleanout in your basement then that's the way it flows. Good luck, Tom
