    Shower leaking after seats/springs replaced
    My shower head is dripping. I've had the handle apart twice, replaced the seats/springs, replaced the handle/screw, put in a new "ball" (I don't know what that's called).

    I get everything replaced, turn the water back on, and have no leak. I turn the water on, then off, still no leak.

    Someone in the house takes a shower, and the leak returns.

    Am I doing something wrong, or do I need a plumber for a different problem?

    When you had the valve apart did you turn the water back on for a moment to flush out any built up minerals you might have disturbed? If not then shut the water off remove the seats and springs and flush out the supplies and open valve body. Reassemble and test. Better now? Good luck, Tom

    No... do I need to measure that somehow or could I just tighten the valve where the water enters the house and see?

    No, tightening the valve only reduces the volume not the psi. You can put a gauge on your garden spigot outside.

    I'll need to go buy a gauge--when I attach it what am I looking for? There's nothing about psi in my handy-help book :(
