I have recently bought a new home, and my bedroom ceiling fan and light is controlled by a remote. The brand of the light is Harbor Breeze. It has worked perfectly fine. The remote battery died, and when I replaced it with a new one it no longer gets any response from the fan or light. The display on the remote works and responds when I press a button. There are no pull chains on the light. I did not mess with the dip switches inside the remote. It is not due to the light switch on the wall being messed with. I have looked for a button on the light itself to sync but couldn't locate anything. Any ideas on how to re-sync the remote and fan/light?

I think that possibly this problem came up earlier and you thought the batteries were the issue so you replaced them, maybe. Time to go to the wall switch and test for power. Do you have a tester or light?
