Is he neutered and is your car where other dogs can urinate on it?
Dogs will often mark territory and if he smells strange urine on your tires then he may be reclaiming them.
And intact males will urinate on practically anything.

Thank you LadySam but that is not the case, we don't use the car often in fact it could sitting in the car port for days and when we let him there ,after washing the rims he will urinate on them again,I guess what I am looking for is a way for my dog not to want to go near those wheels , believe me the smell is unbearable if I don't wash them immediately.
He is not neutered and no other dogs come in the premises.
    Any one please!

Getting him neutered might solve the problem. He smells scents on the wheels that you can't and may be marking his territory.

YOur car has a million and one smells, he wants to mark his sent and top all of the others. Distraction and correction is the best key. Even altered dogs LOVE marking on tires.

You can try some products that deter dogs from urinating in certain areas. They are available from pet stores, just make sure you read the label and make sure it is safe to use on rubber.

Alternatively you can try training him to only potty in one spot in the yard. It's a little more time consuming but does work. Basically every time you take the dog outside to potty make sure he is on leash and lead him to wherever you want him to go. Garden edging to make a square works well and for a male dogs provide a pole to lift his leg on.
Every time he goes in this spot on leash give him lots of praise and remember to use your potty command (mine is wee wee's).
Eventually you can try just leading him to the spot off leash and finally just give him free reign to go there himself.

And the final piece of the puzzle is neutering, they are much less inclined to mark their territory then.

So we took in a lost dog and had put up flyers and ads everywhere to see if his family would contact us. It's been three months so we've decided we are going to keep him. He looks pretty young (probably under a year) and he likes to tear things up and jump on people. If it weren't for that he's...

Training my dog [ 2 Answers ]

I was wondering if anyone can provide me with any good sites so I can read about training my dog? He is only a year old and from my understanding it's better to start when they are young. I just won't to make sure I do it the right way rather then the wrong way.
