    Owing a bank money
    The bank put 8000 into my account I spent it, 2 months later they came back for their money that's already gone, what will happen can I go to jail for this?

    Jail, no, but you will likely go to court unless you can arrange a repayment plan.

    I agree jail is unlikely, but this is theft. You knew the money wasn't yours, you should have reported the mistake rather than spend it. The bank will prosecute your for theft unless you make a repayment plan.

    Not so fact on the jail, why was the money put into the account ?

    Did you deposit several checks or money orders that turned out to be fraud or turned out to be fake ? If so, yes the bank can have charges pressed as part of the crime.

    This is where you deposit checks, they are bad, you take the money out, send most of it by western union and then they want the money back,

    If that is the case, yes people go to jail all the time over that.

    If you merely have a over drawn balance on your account, if they made an error in the deposit, no jail but they will sue you for the money.

    No their were no checks It was a bank error that they didn't realive until I brought it to their attention
