    Trane air conditioner - model t4txcb025bc3hca
    I received a quote for a Trane air conditioner unit and a Trane furnace. The quote seems fair, but I wondered how many btus the air conditioning unit is - T4TTB3024A1000A.

    What is the serial number? It's hard to tell from that number whether it's a 2 or 2 1/2 ton ac . The numbers on the condensing unit will tell as well as the numbers on the air handler. Measure each room in your house that gets air conditioning and total it up and I will tell you what it should have. Also, where do you live? Florida is calculated different from northern states, for example.
