1995 honda Accord battery continues to Drain
    1995 HOnda Accord, 2.4, V Tec , Manual Trans..

Brand New Battery, Brand New Alternator, Brand new Battery Terminals, Brand New Distributor, Brand new Plug Wires, Fuses under hood and under dash are FINE. My Car Battery continues to drain till its dead.. I would be driving and then all of a sudden, my spedometer and RPM needles start not to work and car starts to loose power and then poops out on me.. I jump start the car and car will start right up but then will peter out on me when I start to drive..

So, I took the brand new battery to autozone as they Recharged it for me. The car starts up and runs perfect for a few days until the battery dies out on me again..? / Any ideas out there?? I would greatly appreciate it.. Thank YOu

Parasitic battery drain? The max should be 50mA. Otherwise, check the alternator, after removing and charging the battery. Regulated battery voltage should be 14 to 15 volts.

Any after-market modifications like an upgraded audio system or additional lights?
Those can sometimes rob power without being used.

    Sounds like its not charging.
I would charge Battery, read voltage, start car, read voltage again, Is it higher, the same, or lower voltage?

I have exactly the same problem! New batter, alternator is less than two years old and shows 14-17V (fluctuates) with engine idling. Battery voltage (between terminals) when engine is running is 12.4V (fresh charge) when engine was off it was 13.8V. I'm kind of baffled. Any ideas appreciated.

Ambergoo, it sounds like your vehicle's charging system will need accurately tested and repaired as needed.
Explain what you mean by "engine idling" and "engine running" please...

. Remove and fully charge the battery.

. Regulated battery voltage should be 14 to 15 volts, while the engine is idling. Simply connect your multimeter's test leads to the battery terminals, while the engine is idling.

I suspect there's a problem with the alternator. Most auto parts stores will test batteries and alternators for free.
