    Building Second Floor
    Hi Guys,

    Can someone guide me through the procedure for constructing second floor to my house.

    Plans, permit approval, contract bids or choose good subs by references, inspections final and you are done.

    Hi Mani, Depends where you are building and what the building department needs for a permit. You need a plan showing what is going to be built. Contact the city building and planning department. If there is none, then find a contractor who can help you. If you can work on your own house, check with a technical school to get ideas. An architect will be a good choice if you can afford it.
