    Hydrochloric acid interaction with Plastics
I am an 11th grade high school student and am working on a project for reducing plastics in landfills. My part of the project is to get feedback from a Scientist on the following questions. I have three questions: Do you think hydrochloric acid would be a viable treatment for starch plastics?
Could using the acid be harmful to humans?
Can you explain how hydrchloric acid works?
