    Tax Confusion
So, here's the deal: I am currently applying for in-state tuition here in Colorado, (CU). Now as part of this, I am required to file taxes in order to be considered an in-state student. I only have a W-2 form for Indiana (my original state of residence). But, my parents claimed me as theirs for half of this year because I was theirs until August. So, I guess my question is how I should file for both states if I don't have a W-2 for Colorado and my parents have claimed me for part of this year in Indiana. Yeah... I have no idea. Thanks, I really appreciate it

If you have no income in Indiana, all you have to do is file in Colorado.

Just do not claim yourself on your FEDERAL return. Colorado MAY allow you to claim yourself even if your parents claim you. Call the state of Colorado and ASK!
