    Tuition deduction
We paid tuition for our daughter for the last half of her senior year (2011). She lived with us for half of the 2011 year. We want to claim the deduction but our tax program won't let us. She did earn over $3700 from October 2011 to December 2011 after she graduated.

The program is wrong; you ARE allowed to claim her if she attend school full-time for at least five months in 2011.

If you cannot figure out how to get arounf the program restictions, you may need to file manually, or you can contact me at my email address for professional help.
