    Overhead garage door opener model 555
    I have an old 1992 model 555 Overhead garage opener and I'm trying to raise the door about 2" higher, what is the procedure as I have no manual?

    What brand opener? Most have a travel screw on the back or top, you can play with the screw to change the travel. Older models, you are close, sometimes have a trip on the chain that triggers a switch when the travel distance is reached.
