My dog keeps peeing and pooing in the house
I have 6 month old rotwiler and he keeps peeing and ooing I the house, if I leave him out of his cage at any point when I am not there or up the stairs (where he is not allowed) I come back to fine he has peed and pood EVERYWHERE even if I leave the back door open while I am up the stairs I know he can hold it in but its almost like he's doing this out of spite, plus he keeps peeing in his cage at night as well which only started when he had to get a bigger cage, thanks

Many 6 month olds are not house trained. I sense you think he should be trained but you have not said what you did to train him. Partition off a small section of his crate so it's a bit smaller. Feed him 2-3 times a day but not knowing his size I'd take a guess at 3/4 to 1 cup each feeding. Walk him 30-45 minutes after he has eaten and walk for a good mile or more. Every time he pees or defecates verbally praise him. Never scold him unless you are seeing him messing right in front of you and even then only say NO in a deep tone. Hi, my puppy is doing just the same but to make it worse she's eating her poo!! She's fine when I go out and at night but if I go upstairs where she isn't aloud she poos and wees all in the kitchen!! And like you I leave the back door undone so she can go out but chooses to do it in the kitchen! Its driving me nuts! I've been told to go back to the start with the puppy toilet training and put her in a cage when ever I feel she needs to be in i.e. when I go upstairs!
    Good luck!

in the last month my 5 year old, house trained, westie has began to randomly poo in the living room. Is it because we leave him in his crate for too long?
