Moen shower faucet -- the U-shaped clip
I replaced my Mohen shower faucet catridge with no issues but now have no water at all. I removed the cartridge and tried again. Now I can't get the U-shaped clip in. Ideas? Help?

When you had the valve apart did you turn the water back on to flush out the supplies? If not then do it. There should be a strong stream. If not tell me about it. Then horseshoe clip goes around the tabs. This might help. Clicking on; http://www.moen.com/consumersupport/...3/moen0133.cfm

Make sure the stem of the cartridge is in the open position to let air and water out as you push the cartridge in. Otherwise, you won't be able to push the cartridge all the way in.

I am not sure what model Moen faucet you have, but all are close to each other, do as Tom and lee instructed for the retainer clip installation open the link below and go to Figure 13 will show you how to install, make sure that you align the cartridge grove to the faucet clip slots, good luck.

Your cartridge has two letters stamped into it, H and C as seen in pic #12 of John's link. Majke sure the HC is directly pointing towards 12 o 'clock otherwise it will not seat in the notch of the valve body. BTW you can install it pointing at 6 o'clock and you will reverse your hot and cold settings
