    Huskee riding mower idles to high sounds like its dying. Backfires
    The mower started idle high or sputter like its going to shut off. It does this in mid to low throttle and backfires when shut it off. If you put pressure on carb it will stop but if you let pressure off, it does it again.

Riding mower backfires when I try to start it [ 1 Answers ]

My 17.5 Briggs and stratton riding-mower motor backfires when I try to start it. It sounds about like a 20 gauge shotgun every few seconds. Why do I feel there's something wrong? And what can I do about it? Asks Zheem... :confused:
