Collecting a debt after 11 years
I had a credit card when I was 22yrs old that I never paid. The credit card co. sold my account to a debt collector. To make a long story short my pay check is being garnished for the amount that's owed plus interest it's accumalated over the year. Is this possible? I thought after seven years your are no longer responsible for a debt, or does the seven years apply to the time it will no longer display on your credit report?
