    Transfer from Georgia to Texas
I don't understand this transfer law. I need for my daughter and her children to move to Texas with me.. Her probation officer submitted a request to the state of Texas and told us that it may take 30 days before we hear anything from it and then their a possible Texas and Georgia may refuse it.

My daughter doesn't have no violentcharges and she has a unsupervised probation. I would like to know would Georgia refuse transfer because of a unpaid fines and don't wante Texas to collect any money from the defends

Not sure what you don't understand.

First the State of Georgia will have to approve it, before they send it to Texas. Normally they will look to see if any programs were done, if there were fines where they paid, or is payment plans in place. Texas will look to see if they have a good record of reporting and if there is a issue with them in Texas, do they have a place to live, and is there a job arranged perhaps.

30 days is actually hopeful it can often take 60 or even 90 days sometimes for approvals to go though.
