    Cat is sick
My cat threw up this morning and then went and hid behind the TV. I am worried something is very wrong. He never acts like this. The bad thing is I had to come to work this morning and leave him at home. Help!!

If this is a new problem, it just might be that s/he ate something disagreeable. I know it sounds gross, but did you find anything in the vomit such as grass, chunks of food, etc?

If the cat is still sick tomorrow, consider taking it to the vet.

I didn't see anything out of the ordinary when I cleaned up the throw up. Yeah I was thinking about taking him today to the vet. So I Should wait and take him tomorrow?

If kitty was OK today and tomorrow, then maybe no need to take her to the vet. Cats are like people: One puke does not mean the need to go to the Doctor.

Just watch her close - and take her to the vet if she continues to be sick after tomorrow.

I have four cats and we're constantly cleaning up throw-up that contains food and/or hair balls (even though we brush, brush, brush). I wouldn't worry too much. Throwing up is part of catness. (We had one cat who would stand in the middle of the living room and slowly spin around while throwing up. Another cat likes to throw up in the water dish and another on the dry food.) Your cat may have gulped down his food too fast or coughed up a hair ball (the winter coat is loosening and coming out). See how he's doing when you get home. I'm guessing he's okay.
