I has to get a root canal done and during the procedure the dentist gave me too much novacaine and I had an allergic reaction. My face swelled up for a week and I got taken to the hospital. I recently went to the dentist because that back tooth has been hurting me and apparently my old dentist never finished my root canal and now my tooth is rotted. For about a year now I have had a clogged ear and headaches, I just feel awful. The weird thing is, is the swelling the clogged ea and headaches are on the opposite side of the decayed tooth? I'm hoping it's from my tooth? Luckily I'm getting it taken out on the 5 th as well as two wisdom teeth. I've been feeling really lost because I go to doctors and they have no clue, I get so frustrated.

YES! Ears are affected by teeth (I know from personal experience). I suspect that you actually do have decay and/or infection on the side of the painful ear though, as well as the side you know about.
And yes, doctors often pay no attention to teeth and don't make the connection. I'm glad you are getting this taken care of.

Maybe you can answer this for me. I have been having similar problems. My neck sometimes feel a little sore, more kinked than anything and it has been nonstop for about a week now with my ear feeling clogged. The back left of my head primarily feels stuffed up and my headaches come and go. I am not sure how to go about it and went to the dr about these symptoms and walked out with nothing but a lousy prescription of tylenol. I am convinced I have a brain tumor until I read this. I don't carry even near all the symptoms people could have when having brain cancer except for these ones I've listed. When I was younger I had a root canal on a baby tooth and when it fell out my adult tooth came in with another root canal. This tooth is on the opposite side of my clogged ear. I had work done on that tooth again to get the filling replaced and am unsure if that is the problem. I feel paranoid and don't want to go into the er to get a cat scan or mri and pay all that money just to be paranoid but at the same time maybe it is worth it. Help!

I am curious to know what your pain and symptoms were
