    Kitchen Sink does not drain!
My Kitchen sink will not drain and every other sink drains without any problems. I have used Drano (crystals), plunged, taken the trap off and snaked for clogs and nothing has happened at all. I even went on the roof to look at the exhast stack what was covered with ice but is no longer blocked from what I can see. Should I pour HOT water down the stack? Or are there any other solutions/suggestions other than calling a plummber?

Is the sink backed up or just slow draining? The vent could be iced up all the way past the sanitary tee in which case boiling water's the answer. Good luck, Tom

Kitchen sink still won't drain [ 3 Answers ]

After buying an old house, the kitchen sink didn't drain well, and since it wasn't hooked up to any "stink pipes" I added a Nonavent downstream of the trap, which draws air from above the trap. This worked great, but, after several months the good drainage ceased, and has become even worse than...
