Is it possible to pass EtG test 61 hours after bingeing?
After two years of sobriety I went on a day and a half binge. I started drinking at 4 pm on Friday and quit Saturday night about 1130. I drank about one and a half fifths of 80 proof whiskey in that time. Started fast and kept drinking to keep the buzz for me that's around 0.19 or a little higher. Sunday and Monday I tried to drink a lot of fluids. Monday I drank about 200 oz of water and Gatorade before my test at 1230the pm. I'm male and about 230 lbs 6 ft tall. When I used to drink all the time my bac used to drop about 0.02 an hour. Is there anyway I could pass this test even if it shows diluted and negative would be great as long as its not positive?

It's certainly possible that the test could show dilute based on the amount of fluid consumed. If that was in proximity to the test.

As to the EtG content, that is impossible to predict. Based on averages (about 66-78 hours) you will still be positive but even following very heavy drinking some subjects have cleared around the 40 hour mark.

EtG testing is so erratic that almost any result is possible. Heavy drinking and drinking on consecutive days magnifies the problem of figuring elimination. The information just isn't there.

Don't think it's particularly relevant but how did you figure the .19 BAC?

Thanks for your reply. The 200 oz on Tuesday was drank steadily during 7 hours before the test with 60 of that all at once 40 min right before the test. I figured 0.19 because that's the level I used to stay at while drinking a few years ago based on dui results and my personal breath analyzer that I bought. It's the level I usually maintained.

Your sample should certainly be dilute. Do you know the policy of the testing agency in relation to dilute samples? Some, though not many, class as a fail.

You have an interesting set of circumstances, size, drinking history, high BAC, high alcohol content drinks and dilution. Please keep us updated.

You also had a significant span of abstinence... so you know how to do it. How old are you?

Sorry about the delay for the results. The results did come back negative and were not diluted. I also had left out the 4 6% 24 oz beers I also had on Saturday.

Thanks for reporting. This is an amazing case. Do you happen to know the cutoff on the test used?

How are you coming with the drinking issue?
