    Do perineal tears leave scars?
I am wondering whether perineal tears or labial tears (going the other way) leave scars after they are stitiched up? Are they noticeable? Can you feel them?

No, there are no scars. The typical moisture of that area of the body helps healing.

I have scars from mine, but I had a 3rd degree tear and labia tear from a very very fast labor. So that may have something to do with it. But I can't feel them, and it's not terribly noticeable. You can tell there is something off with the labia, but it isn't bothersome, and my partner has never mentioned it.

I have no scars, and I had an episiotomy and tore with both of my deliveries. There's no pain, no noticeable change from what it was before. If I didn't know that I had them, I wouldn't know that I did. :)
