I reluctantly entered a guilty plea to misdemeanor domestic assault, in order that I not lose my job. (I am innocent of these charges-my girlfriend has since attempted to dispel them.)
As a Tennesse resident on probation, may I engage in work related out of state travel?

I don't know what you mean by your girlfriend trying to dispel the charges. You entered a guilty plea even though you weren't guilty, now you have a criminal record and there is a question about what she reported to the Police?

Yes, once you plead guilty and was sentenced it is almost impossible to get it over turned. Had you plead not guilty and was found guilty there is more ability to try and have a sentence over turned. By pleading guilty you admitted to the crime.

But normally on probation you can not travel out of state without permission of the Probation officer. So you will need to ask and verify if they will allow you to travel out of state.

You will also have to return when it is the day and time for your probation meetings.

Also if your girl friend was the victim of the crime, you may not be allowed to be near her with out permission either.

A family member of mine had something about like this, and because he moved back into the house with the girl who was the victim they violated his probation and sent him back to jail
