    High meter reading
    Our water meter is situated on the road way, could traffic running over the cover make it give a false reading, thanks

    It's doubtful! More likely you have a hidden leak. Let's check and see. Do this. Shut off all the water in the house. Go out to the meter and check the little pointer. If it's moving at all then you have a hidden leak. Do that and get back to me with the results. Good luck, Tom
