    How long does wine stay in a woman's system? 12 hrs? 24hrs? 48hrs?

    Entirely dependent on amount consumed. But as example, one standard drink (5 oz wine) contains 13.7 grams of pure alcohol and would be eliminated in about 1 hour and 15 min*.

    Interestingly, while women achieve higher BACs than men (due to less body muscle/mass) they also metabolize alcohol faster than men by about 9%.

    *based on EtOH elimination rate of .015 per hr (population average).
