    Could I be pregnant?
I got my period on Feb 9th. Then on Feb 22nd I spotted brown but lightly through out the day. I had unprotected sex on Feb 23rd. Now I'm 5 days late for my period on my regular 28 day cycle. I took an at home pregnancy test after being only 3 days late but it came out negative. What does this mean?

You are very unlikely to be pregnant because a NAME Brand test such as Clear Blue, EPT, etc are very accurate and would be positive on the day of a missed period.
There are other reasons for not having a period too, such as weight, anxiety, stress, thyroid disorders, and ovarian cysts.
    Thank you for your questions.

    Hi LeeRose,

It could be just an off cycle and your period will still show. However, it may be that it was just too early for you to have a positive result show. Some women do find that it takes some time before a urine test picks up a pregnancy.

Since it is not uncommon to have an off cycle now and then, wait and see what happens over the next several days. If still no period, you could try another test. If still negative, wait until next month and test again at that time if necessary.
