    Light Fixture Wiring
    Is it necessary to use 'purple wire nuts' when hooking up a ceiling fixture having stranded copper wire to aluminum household wiring?

    I'm not sure about the color but, using wire nuts or connectors
    Listed and labeled for copper to aluminum connections is a small
    Price to pay for preventing ignition...
    They say it's rare but we've seen it.
