Need to know how to tell if a furnace is approved for a 1970 Mobile Home?
I have a 1970 mobile home. The furnace that came with the mobile home was a miller MMG-82-CGC, I think. Input 72,000BTU output 56,600 BUT. About 18 years ago we had a coleman evcon presidential 7995 model installed. Input 95,000 BTU output 77,000. Plus a new roof jack that has two pipes in it. We are now wanting to have a carrier new model 59TP5A080Ei7 95% eff 2 stage propane gas furnace with a X13 motor, carrier 25HNB536A003 15 seer 8.0 Heat Pump, carrier CNPVP3617ATA Evaporator coil installed. My question: Is this HUD approved for installation in a mobile home. If not, is it approved if done with a conversion kit of some kind? We have had two different answers from two very qualified techs that work with carrier. Please HELP. We would like to get this done asap but we want to make sure that it is safe. All replies will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much
