How would squatters rights apply to this situation
A friend of mine found out her land and home are contaminated and through fighting the good fight to insure all information is out there has had her home repossessed or foreclosed upon.Today she was threatened to be evicted as a hostile tenant, how would squatters rights apply to her?

From what I'm reading there's already a lawsuit in place.

The Attorneys handling that lawsuit are the experts and have all the relevant info.

I don't understand how she had her home repossessed/foreclosed because she "fought the good fight."

    Need more info.

Her home was financed by a company bought out by Bank Of America or something to that effect and Bank Of America is caught up in this. She tells me that there is a lot that she can not discuss with me only what is on the site, although this is all starting to sound like one of those movies where there is a lot of cover up and threats. She is my friend and I can't really think of anything to help her. Some things that she has told me are that this has been going on for years, a lot of people involved on the cover up side have already moved from positions and this town. MY MIND BOGGLES. Is there any way to help?

There is no such thing as "squatters rights" that is a myth from laws decades and longer ago.

The other laws that effect possession of land do not apply here.

To fight this, she will need to prove that the foreclosure was illegal ( foreclosure on property and homes, repo on mobile homes) They will have to prove that Bank of American did not properly do the foreclosure paper work.

But honestly, there is no "fight" if they did not pay the payments, they are suppose to move out and let the bank have the home. If they fight a good fight, they make the payments and keep the home.

Good answers. Squatters right don't apply for 2 main reasons: #1 there is no such thing #2. A tenant is paying rent which openly demonstrates no adverse or hostile possession.
