    Can't access Microsoft office files any more...
    Recently while I was online an update was available for my Microsoft office 2010 starter version was available I installed it. It showed that some problem had occurred and the program ended . Then onwards I can't access word excel or anything else from the office package don't know what to do.

    It just said update could not be completed. After that can't even trace its install file. It was pre-loaded on my laptop. Don't even have a c.d for it.

    There might be a recovery partition that allows you to restore the machine to how it was when you bought it. What brand and model is it.

    Is it possible you had a trial version that expired?

    I don't think it was a trial version . Can't even format it as my laptop doesn't have partitions everything will get deleted.
