Can I drain a bathtub into an old washing machine drain?
I have a laundryroom located next to a half bath. I want to move the laundryroom and install a bathtub with a shower in it using the plumbing from the washing machine. I really don't want to break up the cement floor if I don't have too. I was told I could build a platform for the tub and use a tub that's not to deep to make it work. I want it to be OK for code and have no later issues.

It would depend upon how high the washer trap was off the slab. Check with your local Building Department to be sure but if you haven the room and the washer's vented I can see no problem. Good luck, Tom
