I have severely dry skin around eyes, nose and mouth and I am looking for nutritional or topical treatment.

Rather than someone who's floating around on the Internet giving you advice, it would be much better if you see a doctor, particularly a dermatologist.

Do you know what you are allergic to?

I have been hospitalized twice this year and had full body and head cat scans, patch tests from allergist and saw dermatologist 4 times in the past two months.

I'm aware of what I am allergic to now that I received the patch test results, but still have cracking skin around eyes, nose and lips, which starts with raw skin that develops into scaly, cracking skin.

Allergist suggests Vanicream, which I use (soap, cream and lip treatment) but the skin is not healing. The vanicream keeps it calm but the skin areas continue to swell and stays severely dry.

I'm wondering if there is something that someone has used to eliminate these symptoms.

Thank you so much for telling me more!

I used a cream when I was getting radiation treatments. It has an aloe base and was by prescription. I wonder if something like that would work for you. I'll jog to the bathroom and look at the name.

***ADDED*** Radiaplex, like hand cream, very smooth, is absorbed and moistens quickly

If you research that cream, you will find lots of good comments. I hope you can get it, and it works out well for you. Let me know!

It comes in a fat, big tube. Maybe you can get a small sample of it and try it for a week.
