4 months ago I had a miscarriage. My periods became regular again. But then last month, my period was late and I had several pregnancy symptoms. I took 2 different tests and they both said negative. I stopped having the symptoms while I my period. But then about a week later had symptoms again. Yet another negative test. Here I am a month later. My period is late and I have little to NO symptoms. I have been congested, had migraines, been gassy. My periods are irregular to begin with so how do I know if I'm late because I'm pregnant or because I'm irregular? I don't want to get a test and have it be another let down.

Unfortunately there really isn't a definite way to know whether you are pregnant, short of waiting long enough for more obvious symptoms, then by testing. Ultrasound is an option, but not likely to be done to confirm a pregnancy and it is costly. You could ask your doctor about having a blood test done. For some women the results are more accurate.

Since your cycles are irregular, it will be difficult to use a lack of a period as an indicator, so other possible symptoms will have to be observed as well. However, many of these symptoms can also be seen prior to a period as well.

You could give it another month and see what happens. If you notice more obvious signs, see your doctor. Treat yourself as though you could be pregnant at any time by making healthy lifestyle choices, including the use of a multivitamin or prenatal vitamin.
