What is this white thing in my garden?

What is this thing and why do I have water pooling in a nearby, down-the-hill flowerbed? Ok? Or Not Ok I can't figure out where else the water could be coming from... it's not the PVC pipe for the in-ground watering system, I don't think. There is no odor, but the hole I dug in the garden fills up with clear water after we use the shower. |

My brother found a white thing in our pond. It's white with a pink/red part (a head?) and it seems to have veins. It's about 3-5 cm long and looks a bit like the inside of a lychee fruit.. We think it's a larve of some kind.. We are really curious about what it is, so if anyone knows please leave...

My dog has a tiny white thing sticking out of the outer part of his arm by his elbow.
