    Sony Z520a "No Network Service"
    Hello,

I have a Cingular Sony Z520a cell phone and suddenly it shows no bars and cannot find Cingular Network. I have a family plan and rest of my family members with the same phone are able to find the network.

I have read elsewhere on cingular forums that many others are also facing the same issue. But I didn't find any solution on those forum posts apart from returning the phone to Cingular, if its in warranty.

Does any one know of a solution to fix this?

    Thanks.

Um did you call Cingular? Occasionally you do hit a dead spot, or the SIM card isn't read. But the first thing I would do is call Cingular.

Umm no. Their customer service line is 24/7. You can dial 611 from any Cingular phone.

Since I am not finding the Cingular Network, I couldn't dial 611 from my cell. So, I called 1-800-CINGULAR from my landline and selected the option for support with the instrument. I received a message that their office is closed today. I also checked their website live help option and it also states that its closed on Sunday.

You said other family members have the plan, so have them dial 611. I suspect you may have selected the wrong option.

I'm sorry they must have changed things since changing back to AT&T. I just dialed 611 on my Cingular phone and it did show them closed.

There's this stupid thing on my computer that brings up dialog boxes all the time, it's called "Messenger Service" and it runs on the "csrss" process, which can't be ended because it's a system process. Ad-aware doesn't even notice it, and my AV doesn't either. The messages are all things like...

Win 2000 "My Network Places" [ 1 Answers ]

Hi, When we were running windows 98, I could hide "Network Neighborhood" with Policy Editor, with the idea being that I didn't want users to go exploring around the LAN. Office 2000 in the "Save As" window does not show "Network Neighborhood" icons in Win98, so things were pretty secure in...
