I have an old General Controls millivolt gas valve: Https://picasaweb.google.com/112652995081934659158/GardenHeating#5515080849589233618 The valve is starting to operate erratically (sometimes does not come on until I tap it). Can someone recommend a replacement? Thanks.
I'd like to install a ball valve on main water line will a "Viperlok" valve work?

I know sweat soldering a ball valve is best, but will a "push-ft" compression "Viperlok" brand ball valve work?---My pipes are old copper, and have a few minor scratches and pits---I also noticed a seam running down one side of pipe. This water line runs out into garden, but valve is in the house....
Furnace won't turn on. Thermostat and zone valve work fine.

I noticed that my thermostat works fine and opens the zone valve for the basement. The problem is that it won't send a signal to the furnace to turn on and heat the water. I have no problem with the upstairs zone valve. It opens and turns on the furnace. Is this a wiring issue? Thanks... View more questions Search
